The Legacy continues...
Robert Fowler- Robert is a professional Broadway performer and we were very lucky and honored to have him in the group. He has performed on stage in many Broadway shows such as "Beauty and the Beast" "Dream Girls" and many more. Most recently the revival of the Broadway show "Smokey Joe's Café". He also teaches choreography. Robert was asked to join the Coasters after the show ended replacing Eddie Whitfield. Whitfield became ill in 2016.
Dennis Anderson- Dennis joined the Coasters in 2011 after the death of Carl Gardner. Dennis started playing the guitar for many groups but realizing his talent was singing. He came from a gospel musical family and began singing in the church at a very early age. In 1979 Dennis played the role of Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and in 1982 " Ain't Misbehavin'". Before joining the Coaster's he sang with many famous groups.
Primotivo Candelaria- "Primo" joined the Coasters in 2008 and was personally hand picked by Carl Gardner after an audition in Florida. He has been singing since the age of 10 and has a beautiful, tenor voice. He brings a lot of energy on and off stage. Before joining the Coasters, he sang with several professional groups. He is very cooperative and will bring ideas to improve the group.
Joe Lance Williams- Better known as "JW", joined the group in 2001. He performed live on stage with Carl Gardner ( The Original Lead singer of The Coasters). He grew up in Ponchatoula, Louisiana just 60 miles from the musical capital of his birth place New Orleans- known as "The Big Easy!" He grew up to love the musical sound of country western music. At the age of 9 he was encouraged to develop his talent of singing and playing the guitar when he realized he could play the rubber band box in New Zion Baptist Church in his hometown. "JW" is a very talented singer, musician-songwriter has the gift of singing bass, baritone and tenor and is a great asset to the legacy of the Original Coasters.
